"The Living Kitchen" by Sub Zero/Wolf

hillcraft has completed over 95 "Living Kitchens" by Sub Zero/Wolf across North America.  Each location provided is own list of challenges which forced us to design from scratch for each project.  To help expedite the design process, the team at hillcraft created a library of common millwork parts based on the overall project designs and appliance specifications.  We also engineered and fabricated our millwork to be easily reconfigured for unexpected changes per location with minimal effort.

Due to the timing and location of the installations, hillcraft  is faced with the challenge of designing without being on the job site or having firm field measurements prior to product being shipped. As part of our expedite process we provided colored elevation drawings with dimensions to help the installer visualize the completed project prior to picking up a tool.  hillcraft also devised a system for installation that required minimal cutting at the end for a clean tight install regardless of the variance in layout from location to location.

Each project includes use of Corian and Formica solid surface materials, Bizazza glass mosaic tile, Oceanside glass tile, stainless steel back splashes, eco- friendly glues and water based finishes on all hard woods.  hillcraft’s commitment to Sub Zero Wolf's Living Kitchen project included expanding the existing production facility and bulking up staff to accommodate the fabrication and installation.  The dedicated engineering/design team responds to product and design changes and continues to refine and improve the production and installation process as each project is presented.
