Harley-Davidson
100th Anniversary of an American Legend!
Capital City Harley Davidson opened for business on November 18th, just 4 short months after ground breaking. hillcraft was proud to be the selected supplier of casework and fixtures for the 49,000 square foot facility, which opened on time and on budget, despite a fast-track construction schedule.
J.H. Findorff and Son, Inc. constructed the impressive new structure, just in time for the 2003 100th Anniversary celebration. The gala celebration begins in March at Olympic Park in Sydney Australia, and continues with festivals in Tokyo, Barcelona, and Hamburg throughout the summer. The “Ride Home” in August will bring bikes and riders from all around the world to Milwaukee, WI, birthplace of Harley-Davidson Motor Company in 1903. The Festival will culminate in “The Largest 100th Birthday Celebration the World has ever seen” on August 31, on the shores of Lake Michigan. Tens of thousands of Harley owners from the North and West are expected to visit the store during the “Ride Home”, and will be impressed by the spacious, world-class facility.
hillcraft manufactured everything from the Meeter/Greeter desk to the Soft Goods and Parts counters, to the impressive Zodiaq stone & laminate H.O.G. bar in the Harley Owners Group meeting hall. The casework primarily features Maple woodgrain laminates with black steel feature bands and Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logo crests. Of course, there is plenty of the traditional Harley black and orange. Feel free to stop in yourself, and view our products, along with those of Harley-Davidson, an “American Tradition”.
