Courtyard by Marriott
Madison, Wisconsin: hillcraft was excited and enthusiastic to be involved in the Courtyard by Marriott project for North Central Group hotels, owners of 28 hotels in the Midwest and Southeast. hillcraft’s scope for this project encompassed all common area casework and millwork, including the front desk, S-bar, lobby bench/wall seating area, the market, library with fireplace, buffet area and business center. hillcraft’s materials included veneers, hardwoods, glass, stone and upholstery.
Some of hillcraft’s challenges on this project included the integration of various curved surfaces within the building’s structure; using stone on vertical faces; and the curved lobby bench/wall with floor to ceiling columns, glass panels and upholstered bench. In addition, much of the work had to be fabricated on site.
